You can call her the new preppy décor princess on the block. Honey Bhagnani has taken the suburbs to high-end décor land with her swanky new store Honey Homes, spread over lavish retail space near Mumbai’s Juhu Beach. Her interest in the business of beautiful interiors bloomed and took an interesting twist when she was shopping abroad for her own house. On one of her foreign forays she realised that India offered very few options for décor and so most people travelled out of the country for plush furniture options. This inspired her to try and ensure that the same collections were available back home and so, was born the idea for her store which is ‘her baby’ and something that she is extremely passionate about. “I wanted to help others realise their dreams of a home. I personally handpick each item so that everything in my store reflects my personality and choice.”

While her brainchild offers a complete home solution with a plethora of options from candle-stands to international furniture, Honey is planning to expand her venture across the city that delights in high-end options. While she enjoys travelling and reading, most of her time goes into the store as she fusses over it just like one would over one’s own baby, which perhaps leaves her with little time to pursue her other hobbies. “I do love reading, travelling, shopping and watching films,” she says. But with bigger plans on her anvil, perhaps she has little time to do all that. “I definitely want to expand my venture, but I first want it to settle here and then move on to the next level.”
