Tips, picks and everything

TIP
The hands-down winner of all-time natural exfoliates is sugar. We do realise that there must be tons of the devilish sweetener left in your kitchen cupboards, so it’s time to take a handful out, mix it with olive oil and bring forth glowingly sweet skin. It can be liberally used on body and face, so do go ahead this time and indulge in sugar!
PICK
It’s like finding your mother’s pearls one sunny afternoon. You want to wear them, show them off, strike poses, always reminiscent of the little girl who loves all shades of red. Play grown-up once again and collect them all, blow out your candles, simply smile because when you are wearing Rouge Coco lipsticks from the house of Chanel, the whole world belongs to you.
VENUE
While the monsoons rage on, head towards Yogacara, for some much-needed post-summer healing in the cool shade. This centre is located amidst coconut trees with the sea roaring in the background at Mahalaxmi, Mumbai. The brainchild of Radhika Vachani, Yogacara creates the perfect ambience for yoga in the busy city. The ancient disciplines of yoga, pranayama, meditation and massage make this place the haven of healing energies.

FLASHBACK
The Ancient Greeks considered pale skin to be a sign of prestige and beauty, so to lighten their skin, women would paint their faces with white lead or sometimes white chalk. White chalk would wear off easily but what they didn’t know was that the lead entered their bloodstream and finally shortened their life spans. Natural is beautiful, always.
