Location courtesy: Maharashtra Nature Park, Dharavi, Mumbai. Developed on a BMC dumping ground at the Mahim Creek, the MNP is a vibrant, lush green urban forest that demonstrates how will and determination can turn a problem area into an urban asset. It is a serene, tranquil space in the middle of one of the city's busiest industrial-economic zones and its largest slum. It is a thickly wooded area aimed at giving visitors, especially children, a chance to relax and learn about nature and environmental conservation. The park’s activities include a wetlands ecology education section, bird watching and butterfly watching.
