It can be teamed up in various ways to create different personas – whichever avatar of yourself you want to show off

THE SOPHISTICATE
Ultra chic, tailored separates – corporate to office brunch. High waist trousers/palazzos and fitted skirts with subtle but impactful accessories, for a confident, über-fashionable professional.

ANDRO GRUNGE
Girls can be boys can be girls. A fresh grunge-androgyny blend can rival Kate Moss and Irina Lazareau’s blazer and skinny jeans combos. A devil-may-care attitude is the best accessory.

HOLIDAY ZEN
Light-as-a-feather apparel in the optimal comfort-style ratio soothes those who wear and also those who see. Purity, clean lines and a minimalist mode almost put a halo around you.

BOHO ETHNIC
A bit of embroidery goes a long way. Teaming a shirt with a patiala or sharara creates a careless yet confident hippy aura. But it is important not to overdo the desi bit with too many jingly jangly baubles and beads.

RADICAL DESI
Details are important. Substitute the churidar with distressed skinny trousers. Let the shirt tails hang out and add an experimental ethnic jacket. A mix of structured and slouchy shapes projects the image of an unconventional thinker.

HOLLYWOOD CHIC
Think hourglass, think Monroe. A full skirt, a cinched waist and voila! You are a proper feminine lady. It is important to find the perfect belt, and those (barring the lucky few) with extra inches around the midsection, should invest in some quality, high waist innerwear.

AMISH APPEAL
Slightly frumpy Euro village chic. A folksy, laid-back charm in organic fabrics is part of fashion with an ethos. The peasant inspiration states ‘grassroots’ and urges us to embrace eco textile.

EDWARDIAN KITTEN
Flutter in fanciful frills. A sexy take on period attire requires killer-legs confidence to match. All the ruffles and cascades can be balanced with a sharply tailored jacket. But mind it – no boots please, that would be teenage diva!
