Make a strong and striking statement with this month’s dramatic and romantic styles...

Gloriously glam
Dramatic design. Vivid colours. Striking style. Dazzling embellishments. This season is all about being fashionably over the top and letting your inner diva shine through. From Dior’s bright orange hues and theatrical gowns to Drashta Sarvaiya’s purple and amber fringed ensembles, and Raakesh Agarvwal’s? feather and jewelled creations, dramatic dressing is hugely popular everywhere. If one is not ready to drop all their fashion inhibitions, there are a number of statement accessories to choose from that include beautiful clutches from Malaga, sensational sequinned pumps from Miu Miu and chic cut glass pendant necklaces from Burberry.

All ruffled up
Romantic ruffles are all the rage this season. This elegant and Edwardian trend has been spotted in a number of collections, from Moschino to Chloè and Gauri & Nainika to Cherie D. Made in soft, sheer fabric, the ruffled element has been seen in a number of variations in classic blouses, flirty tiered dresses, girly mini skirts, shimmering scarves and dreamy accessories. Combine this overtly feminine trend with a tailored garment for a striking contrast effect. Keep the accessories to a bare minimum, so as to not overindulge on this already extravagant trend.
