Varq, the newly opened Indian gourmet restaurant at New Delhi’s Taj Mahal Hotel is the capital’s latest culinary hotspot for Indian cuisine
The atmosphere is an intricate fusion of fine dining with art. The restaurant has retained the existing murals by celebrated artist Anjolie Ela Menon, which have been carefully restored in order to merge with the fashionable interior. Rosewood wall panels and dark chocolate monolithic tile floors stand out from the gold-leaf coffered ceiling. Replete with rich artifacts and the innovative presentation of the culinary inventions by chef Hemant Oberoi, Varq makes for a complete dining experience. The menu displays a rich combination of Indian recipes reinvented by Chef Oberoi, with his unusual creations and pairings, new techniques and use of organic spices. The restaurant also offers a unique combination of desserts with teas. Tempting indeed!
