A mixture of opulence and decadence, a clever interplay of light and shadow and the innovative use of spaces in which he operates, all make Jatin Kampani’s works stand out. His portfolio references eminent personalities and some major brand moguls. And it is the latter that won him top honours at Prix de la Photographie, Paris (Px3) 2008. His efforts to raise photography to an art form are evident in his surrealistic Marriott series which blends dance and hospitality, while the grungier Flame series takes on a markedly futuristic stance.
