Bvlgari’s latest masculine fragrance Aqva Pour Homme Marine is cool, lively and refreshing. Like a whiff of sea breeze
Aqva Pour Homme Marine has a vibrant and aromatic character and aims at wooing a man with a strong personality. “I thought of the colour and transparency of crystalline water,” explains Cavallier. This beauty writer got a male friend to try out the fragrance. The scent unfolds initial sparkling notes of neroli bigarade and grapefruit. The initial hint makes you feel lively, fresh, bright and crisp. Cavallier has given the fragrance an aquatic heart by using Posidonia, which makes it an extention of its antecedent. This note emphasises the transparent watery accord of the perfume. Slowly the note fades to give way to rosemary flower that adds an aromatic twist. The final scent you’re left with is of white cedar wood, a new addition to the original that winds up with a natural tone. It’s mild and understated right to the end note and is recommended for those who prefer barely-there perfumes. The bottle definitely steals the show. From the moment you unwrap its aqua-green abode, your eyes are transfixed. It reminds you of a vibrant beach inspired as it is by the form of rocks and pebbles softened by the sea. The aqua-green accents make an unequivocal reference to the hues of the ocean and complement the scent making it an ideal gift for a man who loves the seashore, the cascading waves and cool freshness. |
