The most striking thing about Koel Purie is her incredible energy. This is reflected in every part of her life beginning with her home which is a palette of bright blues, pinks and reds. Recovering from an all-night shoot for her latest film, Koel is her effervescent self, chatting about how shuttling between London, Mumbai, Delhi and Goa, when she has some time off has become a way of life for her. Currently working on editing her own film, preparing for the release of Amal, at the London International Film Festival and shooting for Farhan Akhtar’s Rock On, Koel Purie’s on a roll this year. And that’s just the way she likes it
“When in doubt, I go to Malini Ramani. Her clothes, I can wear just off the rack.” “My pink rain boots are my most sensible buy; last monsoon they saved me from puddles and flooded streets. Even though everyone laughs at them, I know they all secretly want them.” “I love wearing solid colours, especially lots of black. But I’m never in all black; I’ll always add a little peck of colour somewhere.”
