Model Shamita Singha loves Miami’s passionate spirit

She lives out of a suitcase courtesy her career. Yet the travel junkie in Shamita never gives up. “Travelling for work and for leisure are two different things,” she quips. Her wanderlust has taken her around the globe, but the one place that tops her style destination chart is Miami. “Miami has a lovely mix of fashion conscious people. Shamita’s travel companion for the sojourn was her sister Mashoom (Singha). “We both love beaches and our favourite activity was swimming all day long. Nikki Beach, located at One Ocean Drive and Space on 11th street are the two clubs we frequented.” The Lobby Rose Bar at The Delano Hotel and the Sky Bar at the Shore Club also gets into her ‘highly recommended’ list. Shamita confesses she’s a shopaholic but then who wouldn’t be at a metropolis where you can buy the latest stuff from major brands. “Washington Street is a shopper’s haven. It has a great mix of local and branded stuff. I simply loved the clothes at this store called Sky.” Shamita picks out a scarf dress, a white-striped bikini and green gold bangles as her priced buys from the city. “After pub-hopping and visiting some top end lounges and restaurants, I visited a local Greek restaurant called Opa. I drank ouzo all night and danced on the table! It was mandatory. I will go back for more....”
