Skin Ambrosia
“Moisturising is the most important part of daily skin care. Your skin needs lots of water. Moisturisers are needed in summer because you lose most of your body salts by sweating,” warns Goel. The skin around the eyes is very thin and able to retain less moisture and therefore is the first to show the signs of ageing. “Using a good eye cream can help get rid of puffiness and strain,” says Javeri. Facials are not a bad idea, but it depends on your skin type. If you have oily skin or have a tendency to break out, it is better to go for clean-ups rather than facials. “For dry skins, facials with marine products and vitamin C based products are ideal,” says Goel. Procedures like chemical peels, skin polishing and laser treatments should be avoided as there is a risk of UV exposure post procedure than can further sensitise the skin.

Skin secret: Oily skin calls for a non-creamy cleanser while dry ones should avoid a toner.
