Diamond ‘statement necklaces’ make a sparkling comeback at this year’s Oscars
It was truly the return of the diamond statement necklaces at the Oscars. Oscar presenter Nicole Kidman walked away with great fashion honours for her extraordinary FOREVERMARK rough and polished diamond Sautoir necklace designed by L’Wren Scott. This spectacular neckpiece has a total of 7,645 rough, faceted and polished diamonds, adding up to a whopping 1,399 carats! Each diamond was individually selected by the designer and its intricate design required more than 6,200 man hours to handcraft. Oscar winner Marion Cotillard, along with Keri Russell and Jennifer Garner also endorsed the reappearance of the statement necklaces at the event. Elegant Julianne Moore’s FOREVERMARK-57-carat-diamond-bracelet also topped the style charts. Designed by Mona Mehta of Orra, the diamond cuff was inspired by the beautiful anklet of the Nizam — India has always been associated with royalty and jewellery that is breathtaking and rich. Jessica Alba, Anne Hathaway and Helen Mirren all shone brilliantly in attention-grabbing diamond earrings in a variety of styles. While Amy Ryan, Jennifer Hudson and Olivia Thirlby teamed diamond drop earrings with bracelets perfectly. |
