Roshni Chopra puts her best face and voice forward

When we first saw Roshni Chopra, she was holding her own with co-anchor Charu Sharma in the cricket show Fourth Umpire. The success propelled her to ensemble roles in Kasamh Se and Let’s Enjoy. She hasn’t looked back since. For someone who says she had never imagined herself in front of the camera, recognition has come easy, “every opportunity has come walking to my front door,” she quips. Getting under the skin of Pia, the scheming character she plays on Kasamh Se has been a challenge as the vivacious artiste doesn’t relate to her onscreen avatar in any way. Versatile Roshni has now added singing for reality music show, Jjhoom India to her repertoire as well. A stickler for excellence, she tries “to create a moment of pride every week. The most recent one was when Shabana Azmi called me a true 21st century entertainer on Jjhoom India”. This year she’ll be anchoring a host of new shows that include Cinemascope and Indian Golfshow.
