Fashion finds, hot trends, new entrants on the designer block....

SWATI MODO
Shoe designer, Swati Mehrotra, has created a unique collection of exclusive avant-garde footwear whose inspiration rises from the vibrant colours of human character, memories, emotions and endeavours. Designing with a difference, there is an in-depth concept behind each pair of shoes made by her signature brand known as Swati Modo. Some ingenious insights behind the shoes include peacocks, casino, glamour, pet animals, passion, sea shore and jaws and paws. With custom designing as a main priority, each product has a distinctive theme and character. The shoes are made by leather specialists in Agra, with the extensive use of handicrafts in leather, fur, suede, stones and fabrics. Aesthetically appealing, Swati Modo is an individualistic brand that strongly believes in reflecting your ideas in your shoes. The Swati Modo collection was showcased under the debutante designer, Rimzim, at the Lakme Fashion Week in October.

MOSCHINO TOY ANIMALS
If you’re hesitant about what to gift your fashionista friend for Christmas, look no further because Moschino has introduced a limited edition collection of toy animals that are chic, adorable and unique. Following the success of their first series from 2006, they have expanded the ‘zoo’ for 2007. The characters include Margherita, the wool and felt lamb; Pier Luigi, the wool and felt poodle with bows; Biagio Adagio, the velvet turtle with buttons and Ettore, the fun fur gosling with leather and wood detailing. Also included from last year’s collection is the goose Luisa, which has been a sort of mascot for Moschino for many years. This cheerful line of limited toy animals is synonymous with the typical playfulness and good humour that is Moschino’s trademark. Available from the end of November until the first half of January.
