When one of the most revered fashion designers decides to have a showing of a different kind, the cognoscenti turns up in full strength. And so, it was in Cannes when Chanel hosted a dinner party to celebrate Karl Lagerfeld’s photo exhibition in the jewel of the Mediterranean. The jet set sashayed in, most of them in Chanel naturally.
