They are young, free-spirited and love to explore the world. For them, travelling is a way of life. Verve takes a peek into the personal albums of four feisty women bitten hard by the travel bug

SUSHAMA REDDY: Television anchor, actor and former VJ
For Sushama Reddy, travelling is not just about unwinding. Each journey teaches her something new about herself. "I like to visit exotic locations, places that are off the beaten track. It's my favourite hobby and the best education anyone can have." Sushama's wanderlust has taken her to exotic locations like Libya, Iceland, Africa and New Zealand and rewarded her with some unusual experiences. She has been volcano climbing in Italy and even met General Gaddafi in his bunker at Libya. Recently, she came away impressed by Sikkim's scenic beauty. Apart from staying in a local resident's house and enjoying home-cooked food, she was intrepid enough to taste yak's milk. Sushama's Sikkim sojourn also included being stung by poison ivy and getting bitten by ants and leeches. Sushama believes in travelling light, safe and solo. She also offers some advice to fellow travel lovers. "Inform family about your whereabouts, do not accept drinks from strangers, book your tickets and passes in advance and try to budget your trip." The attractive globetrotter now harbours a desire to explore Brazil, Antarctica, Mexico and Russia.
