Most often seen with a camera in her hand, Mumbai-based Aparna Jayakumar followed her heart and her eye into a satisfying career in photography. The 22-year-old pyschology graduate - who completed her post graduation in social communications media - not only trains her lens on interesting locales but also delves into the varied moods and moments that affect people around her. This series of somewhat abstract photographs is her comment on the somnambulist nature of urban life 'where existence is deeply steeped in resignation and people appear as if they were trudging wearily through reality.' Are you a photographer with a fresh perspective on life? Do you have creative pictures that capture the essence of existence? Send in your compositions to art@verveonline.com. The best images will be featured in Framed.
