She is constantly motivated by the challenge of depicting a story in one frame. Whimsical or provocative, Dia Mehta's images invite her viewers to project a story as much as they tell a tale. The 22-year-old Mumbai-based photographer, who graduated from New York's Parsons School of Design, believes in redefining everyday scenes on film. In this series shot at the Ardha Kumbh Mela, the flaming orange stands in paradoxical juxtaposition with the austere and sublime lives of the people. Sun-like in its flaming hues, the show of saffron gives the cameos a luminous effect and reflects a unique inner power of strength and intellect... Are you a photographer with a fresh perspective on life? Do you have creative pictures that capture the essence of existence? Send in your compositions to art@verveonline.com. The best images will be featured in Framed.
