Verve is invited to join a select international group

VERVE and ALTAGAMMA
In the winter of 2006, at a high-profile event dedicated to India in Milan, Italy, Verve magazine, represented by editor and publisher, Anuradha Mahindra, became a member of the famed Altagamma International Honorary Council of which Leonardo Ferragamo is President. High profile members include top luxury brands, Bvlgari, Versace, Valentino and Tod's among others. Several bilateral business to business meetings were organised between member companies and Indian companies before and after the induction ceremony for new Indian members entering the Honorary Council, among which are DLF Universal, FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) and the Oberoi Group to name a few.

The Altagamma International Honorary Council brings together 74 of the most important players in high-end business and culture, a partnership that is unique in the world. At the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan a formal announcement made public the foundation of the Inter-Association Agreement (Intesa InterAssociativa), which brings together Altagamma, the Italian Chamber of Fashion, the Florence Centre for Italian Fashion, the Italian Federation of Textile and Fashion Companies SMI - ATI and Indicam.

India was the protagonist of the most significant event of the 2006 Altagamma Diplomacy Programme, with the Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry, Hon. Kamal Nath, taking part in all initiatives which included his scintillating presentation at the conference - 'The Experience of Excellence in India'. After the welcome ceremony held in the Cloisters of the Umanitaria, a gala dinner took place in one of the beautiful fresco rooms of the former convent.
