Actress, cricket commentator. Currently blending her two passions shooting for a film with cricket as the backdrop.

Woman in a man's world: Absolutely! I couldn't be more in a man's world than I am. For the last three years I have been associated with cricket, which is a completely male dominated sport. I am part of a panel on the cricket show, 'Extra Innings' which up until now has had no place for a woman.

Masculine characteristic: I am not your typical female actor. I was never the young girl who always knew she wanted to be an actor. I was the tomboy who always scrapped her knee. My thinking is not very female. I don't react typically, like a woman.

Greatest strength: It is most definitely my energy.

Mistress of your own destiny: I believe that it is a bit of everything that contributes to a person being where he is. Being at the right place at the right time, hard work, all these things contribute finally. Everything does not lie in your own hands.

Motto in life for success: I believe in living one day at a time - going with the flow. Destiny has a lot to do with what one achieves but after a certain point, I know that I must make the most of what comes my way.

Biggest challenge: The first time that I faced the camera live for the 2003 World Cup - it was tough to hold my own in a male-dominated scenario.

Essence of the modern woman: The modern woman today, and more so the Indian woman, is someone who can successfully portray many roles and achieve the balance between all. Her career is just one of the roles that she portrays, apart from being a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter and a support system.

Personal style: I have never followed a trend, a hemline, a colour in season, a cut.... I wear clothes that I am comfortable in and can carry off with a certain attitude. I have never been a fashion victim and never will be.
