Brighter is better. Valentino's Spring/Summer 2007 collection blends sexy contours with comfort in the colour of passion
Valentino is the irrefutable master of elegance and sheer luxury. This reflects in the intricate detailing and tastefully body-conscious silhouettes crafted as part of the collection. Each garment hardly weighs a few grams. The fabrics are both delicate and rich - in laces, chiffons and silk crepe. Languid skirts, one-shouldered ruffle gowns, empire waist dresses and asymmetrical, slinky cuts form the flirty, feminine and fantastic range. There is the ivory polka dotted organza dress with ripples of pristine frill running around the throat and shoulders, the fragile sugar pink and lavender chiffon that caresses your skin, the exquisitely tailored puffed-shoulder sequin jackets for the extra bling and the plethora of prettily placed bows and sashes. Svelte cocktail dresses made of satin bands and tulle strips and beautiful accessories on shell pink, ivory and striped clutch bags are other eye-catching designs. The inimitable Valentino touch is evident in the pleats, tiers and crisp and ruffled fabrics for the soft touch. The hot picks of the season are delicate toe peepers with sweet bows. Though to set off each Valentino creations to the maximum advantage, you will have to shape up to feel like a million bucks. Simply because each of his designs is a gorgeous celebration of sheer romance. |
