RESULT:
England narrowly defeated New Zealand. HRH Prince Harry was playing in this match for the fourth time and deputising for his grandmother, HM The Queen. He was awarded the Golden Jubilee Trophy from Arnaud Bamberger, managing director of Cartier, after The Prince of Wales Team defeated the Hurlingham Squad.

WHO:
Mischa Barton, Juliette Lewis, Hugh Dancy, Andrew Lloyd-Webber, Tom Aikens, Mathew Williamson, Allegra Hicks, Ben de Lisi, Stephanie Powers and Jack Kidd.

IMBIBED:
Cuvee Cartier Champagne in a marquee decorated by Allegra Hicks and embellished with flowers by John Carter.

CONSUMED:
Anton Mossimann's gourmet lunch which comprised green asparagus, sun blushed tomato and red snapper salad with a balsamic vinaigrette, followed by roast fillet of Scottish beef with a grape mustard crust, rosemary sauce, pomme cocotte and grilled vegetables. And to finish, a mango, kiwi and passion fruit compote with vanilla mascarpone cream.

OVERHEARD:
Lord Webber telling my husband, Akash, "Wish Rahman would come up with something different in his music. I have seen his new play, Lord Of The Rings and in fact, it is going to preview in one of my theatres here but they're the same tunes again."
