'Where else can a relationship be more bonded than in Paris and to say that my mother and I just basked in each other's company is an understatement. On the day of arrival, we find ourselves spent at the flagship Dior store, a majestic and imposing building, a landmark building…. The smiling, welcoming Dior personnel here make you feel like a million bucks. The idea is to experience the entire gamut of Dior fashion - jewellery, furs, handbags, sunglasses; to play 'dress up' in the very latest of fall fashion.

The next day we are amongst the privileged few to be invited to the Dior haute couture fashion show. Here, we are rubbing shoulders with the likes of Drew Barrymore, Liv Tylor, Mischa Barton and Camila Doody, to mention the few that have a dizzying effect on me. Time stands still as the drumbeat starts for the first model to make her entrance. What an electrifying moment, enshrined in my memory forever. I am still floating, in a gauzy chiffon Dior creation above the spires of romantic Paris!'
