Diamontish collection at Mogra

International Fashion designer Babita Malkani showcased her new 06 Diamontish collection at Mogra along with other designers like Mehgna K and Umaima Khorakiwala while Jewellery by Ameesha Khanna and Accessories by Alisha & Twisha Chinai (of "Bea") on August 1, 2006.

The 06' Diamontish Collection by Babita Malkani showcased delicate, flowy and voluminous dressing with original asymmetries in half-length coats and knee length skirts. Feminine tops & corsets in satin with crystals & swaroskis. Georgettes and chiffons played a wispy tune along the bodyline, tempting the wearer to enter a land where sinful glam was a way of life.

Bollywood actress Ishaa Koppikar, Achala Sachdev & Niharikha Khan looked glamorous and sexy in her collection. Also spotted at the event were Parizaad Kolah (dressed in a sari by Meghna K), Naaz Jhaveri, Payal Kilachand, TV stars Manoj Bidwai, Ravee Gupta, Arjun Punj, Hoteliers Vikram & Kiran Bawa, model Sonal Rawat, Ex-Viva Girls Pratichee and Anushka. Playing gracious hostess was Gayatri Ruia of "Mogra".

Another important highlight of the Preview was the announcement of Mogra's support to 'Anando", a charitable initiative that works with disadvantaged children. On the evening of 1st August, Mogra and the designers donated 30% percent of the event's profits to "Anando". From August 2006 onwards, Mogra will operate as a one point city center base for Anando, so that patrons interested in making voluntary donations, sponsorships, contacting or visiting Anando may co-ordinate the same through Mogra.

Shuttling between her head office in New York & her workshop in Mumbai, Babita owns a brand called Studio Spa and has been supplying to stores like Marciano- Guess Store in Manhattan, Blooming Dales, Neiman Marcus, North Storm, David Jones- Australia and many more...

Babita Malkani's collection is also displayed at Kimaya in Dubai, Ayamik in Delhi, Gimmicks, Azza, Amara, Fuel & Mogra in Mumbai.
