Decapitated legs or flying, skirted dervishes? This is fashion photography at its most macabre and over the top. Yet, Parisian photographer, 33-year-old Nathalie Mourot’s almost Hitchcockian vision of mannequin limbs and fashion footwear, has been tempered with a burst of colour, strategically placed to alleviate and lighten the mood, perhaps a welcome swing from this season’s more sombre hues. The high-stepping foot garnishes seem to say, ‘kick into the swing of things, lighten up!’ Just right for the festivities ahead
Footwear designed by Katarina Mootich. Are you a photographer with a fresh perspective on life? Do you have creative pictures that capture the essence of existence? Send in your compositions to art@verveonline.com. The best images will be featured in Framed. For complete story, subscribe to Verve Magazine or buy the Verve issue on stands now!
