The Right time to 'Create'
ONLINE EXCLUSIVE
On the occasion of Children's Day, this year, The Create Foundation -- founded in loving memory of Pearl Padamsee -- will conduct an innovative dramatic workshop.

The measure of a man or a woman often lies in the way he/she is affected by the innocence of a child. By those standards, Pandit Nehru is as fondly remembered for his love for the tots as he is for his historic speech at the dawn of India’s freedom, when his birthday on November 14 is celebrated along with Children’s Day.

And, on the occasion of Children's Day this year, The Create Foundation stages a marvellous act for children. Founded in memory of the late Pearl Padamsee, theatre stalwart and anointed fairy godmother to the kids, The Create Foundation, will play the great leveller as it brings together talented children from diverse backgrounds. Along with personalities from the world of art, film, television and culture, the youngsters will spend a creative afternoon together trying to design and articulate their ‘hope for the future.’

Children from Raell Padamsee's Academy For Creative Expression will mingle with kids from different NGOs to design, develop and showcase their hope for Mumbai. Just goes to show that the spirit of the city is undying!

On November 13, the innovative session  (11 am - 1 pm) -- at the National Gallery for Modern Art -- will be spent in activities like mime, dance, painting, followed by a performance to an audience comprising the likes of Juhi Chawla, Perizaad Zorabian, Mandira Bedi, Rakshanda Khan among others. In fact, all these talented artistes are committed to make the session a success. It definitely promises to be a new platform for creative expression for the children. More power to the kids!
