The Bollywood beauties will represent India at the launch of Louis Vuitton’s largest boutique.
Louis Vuitton is launching its largest boutique in Paris, the world’s fashion capital on October 9. The pre-event dinner on October 8 will see Bollywood stars Urmila Matondkar and Ameesha Patel represent India as special invitees by Verve magazine.
Louis Vuitton President, Yves Carcele, a personal friend of editor and publisher Anuradha Mahindra, approached Verve magazine to be a special guest on the occasion. Tikka Singh, advisor Loius Vuitton, sought advice from Verve on how India could be represented best on the occasion. The magazine planned to invite the two Bollywood divas, Urmila Matondkar and Ameesha Patel, to be part of this global celebration.
Nupur Mahajan Sinh, brand development director of Verve says, “This is a celebration where the who's who of the world are coming together. Yes, 3000 celebrities from Europe, Far East (Japan) and US make this a global party and India raises a toast too.”
The magazine plans to cast an Indian spell over the two-day festivities with a super exclusive pre-launch bash! And the Bollywood beauties will add glitter to the sophisticated soirée. Urmila says, "I have been a fan of Verve magazine for the longest time. I am really excited to be part of such an incredibly prestigious event. I have been to Paris earlier for a holiday, but this occasion will be a completely different experience altogether.”
The actors have carefully planned their wardrobe. For one of the prime events Urmila has stuck with her favourite designer Manish Malhotra. She has also zeroed in designers Falguni and Shane Peacock and Shaina NC. While Falguni and Shane Peacock have a wine-coloured outfit for her, Manish has a burgundy one for the Louis Vuitton lunch the day after. For the following dinner, Urmila has decided to go ethnic with a black sequined sari by Shaina NC. Ameesha Patel will be displaying designer Neeta Lulla’s creations. Lulla will be accompanying her on the tour to give personalized attention.
The formal dinner will be held within the environs of the Eiffel Tower at the Jules Verne Restaurant, perched on the second floor of the historic edifice. It offers a bird's eye view of the city from a height of 125 metres.
