VERVE HITS THE HEADLINES
She's the oomph of Bollywood and doing not-so-bootylicious roles in the recent past hasn't in any way lessened Urmila Matondkar's sizzle quotient. And this time, she's all set to win hearts internationally, as she prepares to head to Paris, on the invite of fashion house Louis Vuitton, where she will be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Hollywood actor Uma Thurman. "I am pretty excited about it and am looking forward to it," she gushes. "I had been contemplating learning either French or Italian for quite some time now, and this has just helped me make up my mind," she jokes.

Laughing off the prospect of being swept off her feet by French men, she admits that could be a possibility. On a serious note, she adds, "Right now, I am quite enjoying being single. Though I would love to have someone special in my life, that someone special's absence is not making me feel sorry about it. It could be because happiness in my life is not dedicated by the presence or absence of Mr Right. I am happy without that special one right now, and will be happy when i do find my Mr Right. For the moment, I am happy being in love with myself and my life," reveals the self-confessed romantic at heart.

"I'm high on life," says the actor, who has her kitty full with several projects in the ppipeline. Talking about her choice of roles she reveals, "I enjoy playing a bimbette as much as I enjoy playing meaningful roles. Because they are, after all, characters to be portrayed. It's not a reflection of my true self. I enjoy the process of being able to entertain masses. It could be through an intense performance or a hot item number."

Reflecting on the journey she's had so far, Urmila is proud to have lived life on her own terms.

Talking about her bitter-sweet experiences, she says, "I've come to the phase, where I don't have to prove myself to anyone. Along the way, I've seen the highs and the lows and faced the brickbats, both professionally, but it hasn't made me bitter. There have been grey days, and I've had my share of ups and downs, but I believe that if it has helped me learn something then even the lows have been worth it."
