Heartfelt toasts were raised at two high profile events in London for the benefit of street children back home. At the Magic Bus Charity’s third annual charity ball, held at Park Lane’s well-appointed Four Seasons Hotel, the elite turnout ensured that the auction netted over £40,000. A common nobility of spirit enthused guests at the Golden Thread Charity Exhibition, organised in aid of Aseema, another group working for the upliftment of street waifs in India. Lord and Lady Swaraj Paul inaugurated the showing at the Air Gallery, Mayfair, where creations by 20 Indian and British artists adorned the walls. Overheard: “Great feeling to be putting our money where our heart is.”
