Sonya Jehan, granddaughter of legendary Pakistani songstress, Noorjehan, woos Bollywood with the period musical, Taj Mahal, An Eternal Love Story Though she grew up in a joint family in Pakistan, the world of cinema is not alien to this half-Pakistani, half-French debutante, who is all set to make an appearance in director-producer, Akbar Khan’s period musical, Taj Mahal, An Eternal Love Story. Granddaughter of the legendary songstress, Noorjehan and famed film editor, Shaukat Hussain Rizvi, her life has been tinged with reflected glamour from her early years. Born Sonya Rizvi renamed ‘Sonya Jehan’ for the silver screen the 26-year-old actress, who moved to India two years ago for the film, recalls growing up in a joint family that was "filled with a lot of drama and chaos. It was a wonderful exposure to an exciting world."
