HAND

Tucked away in a small mews in West London, Hand is a new shop which houses one-off pieces that are handmade all over the world, sometimes from just around the corner. Founded by Susannah Baker Smith and Gail Arnold, Hand’s own

collection includes clothes and bags made by the bushmen of the Kalahari, contemporary and antique furniture, Ayurvedic cosmetics from South India, Peruvian woven blankets and gossamer cashmeres. Jewellery is crafted from rock crystal, pale Burmese jade and beaten gold. Indian designers, Anshu Arora Sen and Neeru Kumar, will soon have prominent shelf space at this new Notting Hill destination.
