I'm a complete accessory girl and gold is my favourite. Making a style statement depends completely on my mood. At times, I feel like going all out. At others, I keep a real low profile. Mumbai rocks! It's the coolest place with real nice people and lovely shopping.

Veteran model and trendsetter, queen of the international ramp, new mother, Saira Mohan, 26, writes a best-seller, tries her hand at acting and slips in and out of ethno-chic ensembles created by designers, Falguni and Shane Peacock. A French-Irish-Canadian mother and a Punjabi father have made her an eclectic blend of cultures and worlds. Her latest style accessory? Her infant son, whom she wears like a purse, wherever she goes.

My personal style is anything that’s colourful. I’m a complete accessory girl and gold is my favourite. My look is more classic and I love seeing myself in Indian clothes. For now, my personal style is more of my son, whom I carry around like a purse.

Making a style statement, depends completely on my mood. At times, I feel like going all out. At others, I keep a real low profile. I like it that way.My favourite designers are Malini Ramani and Payal Singal. I love the traditional touch to their clothes. Internationally, it’s Ungaro and I adore Valentino dresses. They fit as if they are
custom-made.I look at India as young, hip, exciting, inspiring and full of opportunities. The culture is so rich, it just beats American culture. I would say, to not like India, is to not like yourself. I would go all out to change base to India but only if my husband can shift his company and work here.

Presently, I’m doing a movie called, Harry Tries to Marry, an independent American production. I’ve never really looked at acting as a career but I don’t mind doing it as long as it is right for me. After the success of my first book, How to Seduce and Marry the Woman of your Dreams, my next book is in the process.
