Theatrical festivities are sparked off in the capital; a beauty queen has the universe at her feet; European royalty walks the red carpet and New Year bashes rival each other in guest lists and high spirits. Verve is mesmerised by the vibrant energy of the season. All the world's a stage
and the 'Mahindra Old World Theatre Festival 2004' took off to a dramatic start with an inaugural brunch hosted by Anand Mahindra, vice chairman and MD, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Anuradha Mahindra, editor-publisher, Verve, at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. Togged in their ethnic best, diehard theatre aficionados from all walks of life, moved centrestage on a cool December afternoon, to partake of a lavish spread of classy cuisine and culture.
