You need to be in love to have good skin, I do not take too much time over my beauty regime but drink lots and lots of water and am careful about what I eat. I exercise regularly.

With Valentine's Day around the corner, it's time to get that skin glowing. Think precious metals - gold, silver and bronze - the colours that give you instant radiance. The trick with these metallic hues is to use them as highlighters. It's all about enhancing. Shimmer and shine will give you that understated but grown-up look, just right for a dinner date. Make-up artist, Hamid Shaikh, dips his brushes in metallic shades to give Priya Sachdev, model and fiancée of hotelier, Vikram Chatwal, a glow that sparkles as much as the rock on her finger!

Golden Girl

Hamid started with a liquid make-up base, nothing too heavy, as you do not want to look too overdone. He then applied a Body Shop Gold eyeshadow all over the eye, with emphasis on the lower lid. "The trick is to go for a gold that has undertones of beige. It will give you a subtle glow." The eyeshadow was applied in a diagonal line from the corner of the eye, to give the eyes a lift. Brown kohl and Estée Lauder's mascara in black gave further definition to the eyes.

Guerlain's gold dusting powder was brushed all over the face to give Priya's skin that silky look. Hamid was extra generous with the dusting powder in the cheek area, to draw attention to Priya's high cheekbones. He then applied Estée Lauder lipstick in a Caffe Latte to finish off the look. This subtle brown lipstick shade ensured that attention was not taken away from the cheek area, the feature Hamid was trying to highlight.

This look is just right for a candlelit romantic dinner for two. It gives a glow, but not unnaturally so.
