The world of high fashion bore witness to a show that brought together the purveyors of sartorial elegance and sparkly jewels in an evening that celebrated style at its incandescent best. Deepika Govind's Autumn/Winter collection at her Fashion Festival 2004, also featured DTC's (Diamond Trading Company) award-winning jewellery. The collection was a jewellery connoisseur's delight, with bracelets and earrings, The necklaces on display were the crowning glory of this glittering fiesta, with over 4000 diamonds encrusted in their delicate designs.
Deepika Govind's Autumn/Winter collection was the perfect foil to the DTC collection with her clothes that celebrated the individuality of every woman. The collection draws its inspiration from the genre of Greek tragedy penned by Sophocles. The highlight of the collection were block prints in trademark autumn colours with an earthy tones. Black being the dominant colour of the collection, it's stark visual effect was set off by the fluid lengths of silk organza and layered look. The look is feminine elegance and sophisticated.
