In early December, the Indo-Italian Chamber will organise for the third successive year its best of Italy annual festival in India.The festival reaches new dimensions this year with simultaneous events in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore. Known for its high-end glamour, this year, Festa Italiana scales new peaks with Fashion Shows from top international designers VALENTINO and ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA, and the opera, LA TRAVIATA, directed by Maurizio Di Mattia, with the Orchestra Maderna di Forli, under the baton of the internationally renowned conductor, Paolo Olmi.

Festa Italiana 2004 will once again encompass a wide spectrum of Italian lifestyle, ranging from Fashion, Cinema, Music and Theatre to Jewellery, Food and Wine, Design, and Tourism.

Principal attractions include:

  • A FASHION SHOW for the first time in India by world-famous Italian couturiers VALENTINO and ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA in Mumbai and Delhi, followed by a Gala Dinner hosted by Shaw Wallace.
  • AN OPERA, La Traviata, conducted by Paolo Olmi.
  • A FILM FESTIVAL of critically acclaimed recent Italian films, with presentations by award-winning director Daniele Gaglianone and the Turin-Piedmont Film Commission, and a Conference on the Evolution and Prospects of Short Films.
