Sample flavoursome fare at Citrus, the 24/7 restaurant at The Leela, Mumbai, that gives fine dining a new dimension Comfortable seating, dim lighting and a sumptuous buffet that is spectacular food theatre. Spread out for breakfast, lunch and dinner at Citrus, the refurbished Waterfall Café, it offers more than adequate fare if you suffer from indecision.
Turn to the à la carte for a more personal selection. The 007 Martini - 'shaken not stirred' - and the Citrus Sling arrive swiftly at our table, accompanied by platters of the Asian snack selection. Fried wontons, spring rolls, satays, shrimp toast and more - almost a mini meal in themselves. What a mouth-watering way to begin! Mediterranean and Indian delectables nudge each other for attention, as do continental dishes. Take your pick from a variety of pastas, pizzas and sandwiches or the time-tested flavours of the paneer kadhai masala, the dal makhani and the biryanis, enhanced by the chef's personal touch. If you have a thing for cross Asian food, dip into the Geang Keow Wan Pak. The green Thai vegetable curry and rice, piping hot, is extremely satisfying. And there are risottos to woo lovers of Italian food. Top up the meal with a coffee of your choice or ignore your calorie conscious conscience and indulge in sinful desserts. A warm brownie with ice cream, a rich date pudding or a platter of exotic fruits provides for a wonderful finale to the meal. Believe me, it was worth it! |
