Indian fashion designers, over the past years, have made major inroads on foreign shores and Satya Paul is the latest to join the bandwagon of such numerous success stories.
Satya Paul, along with Five Towns Indian Association and Uttam House of Design showcased her 'Colours of Life' collection in Long Island, New York. The fashion show was held in aid of project Gangajal, a very large-scale effort to bring water to the dehydrated villages of India. New York, the hub of international fashion was the perfect opportunity to drive home the international appeal of Indian designers who are undoubtedly the hot new flavour with tremendous global appeal. The New York show is part of a chain of international shows, from London to Singapore, where the reaction from an eclectic audience of doctors, international style icons, corporate heads and media barons, was extremely encouraging. The collection represented a brilliant kaleidoscope of colour with the many-different hues of the saris in her Inspirational and Calligraphy collection. |
