Children of celebrities all, these young women aspire to seek their own moment in the sun. Verve takes a look at gently unfolding careers
All set to make a splash in the world of Hindi movies with Subhash Ghais Kisna, 19-year-old Isha Sharvani is completely untutored about the ways and woes of Bollywood. When Mukta Arts asked for my photographs, she chortles at the memory, I sent them a few snaps of me dancing and a passport picture. Dancer-choreographer, Daksha Sheth and musician, Devissaros daughter lives in a rather close-knit family unit by the beautiful Velayani lake near Trivandram. Twinkle-toed like her mother, Ishas quite enjoying the experience of movies and will definitely do more, fitting them into her daily routine that comprises eight hours of dance rehearsals come rain or shine. For a dance-centric family, I started dancing rather late at 13. Acting has enhanced the emotional content of my dance, says the dancer-actress. I would like to take both these genres to greater heights and star in a musical. |
