Children of celebrities all, these young women aspire to seek their own moment in the sun. Verve takes a look at gently unfolding careers
What is a 25-year-old graduate from the London School of Economics doing in Bollywood? Tara Sharma, with two releases (Om Jai Jagdish, Saaya) and more films on the way, (Khosla Ka Ghosla, Masti, Bardasht, Page 3 and Raat Akeli Hai) is content with the slow but sure start shes made. Her genes have shaped her creative instincts: she is artist, Susan and playwright and voice-over artiste, Pratap Sharmas daughter. I was academically inclined, says the student-turned-actress who also studied at the United World College, Italy and did a stint with Anderson Consulting. My passion for acting has finally turned into my profession, admits Tara. But I am not too ambitious, so I am not hankering for overnight success. And, at the end of the day, she has the confidence that, all my eggs are not in one basket. |
