The interiors are based on simple, clean, contemporary lines best suited to display to advantage the classic creations of jewellery. The use of lots of wood lends a rich look to complement the exquisite pieces within. Born into a lineage that has served generations, Neelam Kotharis family has been renowned not only in India but also in Europe and the United States, for their outstanding performance in the manufacture of exclusive hand-crafted jewellery. The family sells to leading jewellers in America through Fred Leighton, Cellini etc. Also, a lot of the fine jewellery is sold through leading auction houses like Sotheby and Christies. Neelam started with her father about ten years ago, mainly for the family owned export business. I always knew that I would eventually join the family business and become a jeweller some day. The fascination with precious stones especially coloured ones and their various creative possibilities set in early, says Neelam. Some of the guests who attended the opening were Karan Johar, Dimple Kapadia, Twinkle Khanna, Sunaina Rosh an, Farah Khan, Suzanne Khan Rosh an, Malaika Arora Khan and Paulomi Sanghvi. |
