With all the Oscar fever in the air, we take a look back at another award ceremony where the celebrities glittered. Verve focuses on the stars that chose Chopard jewellery for the 61st annual Golden Globe Awards

Ellen Burstyn

This legendary actress wore a spectacular yellow pear-shaped diamond pendent surrounded by white round, pear-shape and oval diamonds with a pair of radiant cut yellow diamond earrings with white diamond surrounds.

Eva Mendes

This sexy young starlet had selected Chopard's yellow diamond chandelier earrings composed of pear-shaped diamonds and two bracelets - a yellow diamond bracelet crafted of radiant cut white & yellow diamonds and the yellow and white diamond bracelet mounted on white gold.

Queen Latifah

The multi-talented singer and actress selected jewels from Chopard for her turn down the red carpet. To compliment her beautiful pale pink gown, Queen Latifah selected heart shaped diamond drop earrings totaling over 26 carats, a rond brilliant diamond necklace and and emerald cut diamond "charm" necklace cleverly wrapped around her wrist as a bracelet.

Portia de Rossi

For her appearance on the red carpet, Portia selected to wear appropriately enough - Chopard's "Magic Carpet" ring in diamonds with boldly geometric pave diamond drop earrings. Portia also stacked three diamond and 18kt. White gold bracelets: the "Pushkin", the "Sissi" and the "Three Chances" creating a magnificent "cuff".

Sharon Stone

One of Hollywood's most glamourous stars wore the Elton John watch in diamonds mounted on a black "Happy Sport" rubber strap. Ten percent of the sales of this watch collection are given to the Elton John Foundation.
