Architectural details and Dutch masters... Verve selects our favourite upcoming attractions

German-born architectural historian Andreas Volwahsen’s research for his first two academic books on the living architecture of India throws up this striking exhibition of photographs. Shot in black and white with a balanced square format composition, the images inspire a deeper understanding of the true scale of the craftsmanship and technical accomplishments of ancient Indian architects.

Andreas Volwahsen Living Architecture, curated by Tasveer in partnership with Vacheron Constantin, is on show at Institute of Contemporary Indian Art, Mumbai, from December 2 to 10, 2013.
