Two celebrated artists from across our borders are showing their work in India this month

Sri Lanka’s foremost artist, Senaka Senanayake, will be showing his multi-hued works this month in Mumbai. Often called a painter of our vanishing environment, he blends many colours, frequently seeing each with an enhanced intensity that grabs our attention. View his work – that has a flutter of butterflies, the red of a crimson, the lazy swimming of fish and more – to learn that reality is very attractive.
(On show from October 18 – November 10, 2013 at the Tao Art Gallery, Mumbai.)

In her first solo show in Delhi, Brooklyn-based artist Chitra Ganesh reveals a talent that dabbles in mixed media offerings. Her artistic vision is expressed through digital collages, mixed media drawings, a collage on board and a site-specific mural-based installation. Interestingly, many of her works have been largely inspired by Amar Chitra Katha comics.
(On view at Gallery Espace from September 27 – October 31, 2013.)
