Verve, as all its loyal readers know, has always swum with the current of high life and believes in doing things with style. It was no surprise then that Verve ushered in the celebrations for X’mas and New Year with a fun-filled fiesta that took the Garden City completely by surprise.

A shopping haven that normally sees many footfalls with so many brands at one location, Phoenix MarketCity, Bengaluru – the newly minted and uber cool global mall on Whitefield Road – spread the cheer with a stylish pre X-mas brunch for a bunch of exclusive ladies at the open air courtyard of the mall. The afternoon, partnered by Verve, guaranteed to please the palates of the most hard to please crowds and woo the hearts of fashionistas who love to shop till they drop.

Santa seemed to have arrived early as Gayatri Ruia, director Phoenix MarketCity, and Sheetal Sharma, co-hosted this leisurely event that most hoped would never end. The fact that it was a week day did not deter the well-turned out ladies from turning out in large numbers to be a part of this entertaining event. Everyone found something to do amongst the many activities that made the hours speed by like seconds. From live music, tarot card reading to handwriting analysis, there was something for everyone. To add to the excitement was the chance to win vouchers worth Rs 5000 from various stylish and international brands in the mall in a lucky draw.

Among the over hundred of the city’s women who attended the gala event were Barkha Mahtani, Suruchi Baljee, Aditi Premji, Sangeeta Jung, Madhuri Genomal, Pollyana Patel, Ruby Chakravarti, Pep Kumar and Yong Jasserand.
